Do you offer In-house Rush service?

Yes. If you need your plans fast, we offer In-house Rush service. Your order will be pushed to the front of our printing line and shipped the same or next day depending on when the order is received and the size of the order/time required to process it. The cost for this service is $19.95 and may be added to your order by selecting In-house Rush located within each product page and adding it to your cart. This fee DOES NOT apply to each product ordered – a single rush fee covers your entire order.

Should I choose 300 DPI or 600 DPI?

Standard 300 DPI works well for black-and-white plans or documents with bold, thick lines or text and few color elements. Plans or documents primarily in color, are finely detailed with thin lines and text, or contain critical elements in color should be printed at 600 DPI for readability.

Do you charge a Set-up fee?

No, NEVER. We do not charge for setting up your order.

What if my files are too large to be uploaded to your site?

You may upload your files to a personal cloud storage and send us the link via email from which we can download, or provide us with the link to the document library where the files reside.

Do I pay per file or per plan printed?

You pay per plan printed. Some files contain more than one plan; please check your files before placing your order. Example: You submit 3 files, each file has 3 plans, and you need 1 copy of each; you would then order 9 prints at your desired size.

Can I order different plan sizes in a single order?

Yes, after you upload and select all the information on your first size, simply click the ‘X’ at the upper right of your cart to return to the main page where you may select your next print product. You may add as many sizes and sets as needed.

How do I determine the size of plan I need?

The best way is to have the drawer of the plan inform you of the size at which it was designed or created, or send us a copy for review, and we will notify you of the file’s dimensions. If the file is opened in a PDF reader, placing the cursor in the lower left corner usually reveals the size. Can I order my plans or documents at a size larger or smaller than the size it was created?

Yes, PDF files will allow us to format plans or documents to any desired size. Please note that changing the file size will not change the scale size in tandem, rendering scaling inaccurate. For example, a set of plans scaled at 24×36 must be printed at 100% for accurate scaling measurements. For a smaller scaled set, we would print at half-scale at 12×18. If you are not measuring directly off your plans and do not require accurate scaling, you can print to fit any size page. If you’re unsure what size to order, give us a call or send your file via email and we can advise you based on your application. Please order appropriately, as we are not responsible for inaccurate scaling when plans are ordered incorrectly.

Can I submit multiple plans or projects per order to save on shipping costs?

Yes, you may submit as many plans or projects as needed in a single order by selecting each separate product, choosing your print options, and adding them to your cart. PLEASE NOTE that only one shipping address may be used per order. If shipping to different locations, a separate order must be placed for each shipping address, incurring a shipping fee for each.

Do you charge Sales Tax?

We only charge sales tax if you reside in Michigan, or the package is shipped to a Michigan address.

How long does it take to process an order and ship?

Most orders are processed within 24 hours; however, we cannot guarantee this for special orders, when we experience heavier volume days, or when ordering on a weekend or on or before a holiday. Large orders require more printing time, so this is a factor in processing time as well. Need it fast? We offer In-house Rush service and Expedited Air Shipment options when timing is critical.

Do I need to provide proof that I have the right to make copies of my plans?

No; however, we are not obligated to print copyrighted material for an individual or company that does not have consent to do so. If you upload files to us, by doing so you are stating, as part of our terms of agreement, that you have permission to have copies produced. This is your responsibility, and you will be held accountable.

Do I need to contact you before placing an order?

No. We developed this site expressly to save you time, so you would have not have to contact us first before placing an order. Also, we will never contact you after your order has been placed to upsell; only to inform you of any problems incurred with your order or files.

What brand of printers do you use?

We use new, current model Canon printers. These printers are made for fast, accurate, professional printing. We only use Canon OEM ink, guaranteeing your prints will be of high quality.

Where are you located?

We are located in Rochester, Michigan

Do you offer local pick up?

Yes, if you are in or near the Rochester, MI area, you may select the local pickup option in the shipping section of your cart during checkout.

What types of payment do you except?

You may pay by credit or debit card, with your PayPal account, or by eCheck.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?

Yes, only if the plans have NOT been printed.
All customer initiated cancellations are subject to a 3% CHARGE deducted from the total refund to cover the non-refundable credit card fees incurred by The Plan Printer.com
Once they are printed, there is NO refund on prints, only the shipping fee.
Once plans have shipped, there is NO refund, credit or exchange on any part of the order.
